UNEās Biddeford Campus Center presents āAppreciating the Ordinaryā by Yarmouth artist Polly Smith

An exhibition of artwork, titled āAppreciating the Ordinary,ā by Yarmouth artist Polly Smith will be on display at the Īį°®³Ō¹Ļās Biddeford Campus Center from December 9 to January 31. An artistās reception will be held on December 12, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The exhibition is the culmination of almost a decade of Smithās work in watercolors. She paints āen plein airā as well as from photos.
Smith says that she seeks to capture everyday life in her paintings. āI want others to stop and appreciate the daily joys and beauty right around us, in a vase of dried flowers or in scenes out a kitchen window,ā she stated.
Smith is a partner of the Stable Gallery in Damariscotta and paints regularly with the Community House Artists in Yarmouth. She is also a member of Maine Made Products. Her work has been selected into juried shows, including Yarmouth Art Festival (2013-19), Brunswick Sidewalk Art Show (2015), Portland Art Show (2014-15), South Portlandās Art in the Park (2018-19), Freeportās Art Festival (2016-19), and Maine College of Artās Create III & Create IV (2014-15).
